Harry Potter Book Tag!

Hey guys! I was tagged by Jasmine (How Useful It Is) to do the Harry Potter Book Tag! Go check out her blog because she is so lovely and has great content! I haven’t done a book tag in a while and I am super excited to do this one because it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun!

HP

Original creator: Trang and Lashaan (Bookidote)

hp2

A book you found the theme interesting, but you’d like to rewrite it.

the-chemist

I thought the synopsis for The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer sounded really intriguing and it seemed like it would be a really great book. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the characters and the story was all over the place. It didn’t make a lot of sense and I just found it really stupid. It could have been way better.

hp3

The first book in a series that got you hooked.

City of Bones

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare was the first book I read by her and I was completely hooked on her characters and the world she had created. I will literally read anything that she writes because I love her books so much.

hp4

A book you wish you could have right now.

lord-of-shadows

Oh, would you look at that. It’s only Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare! It’s out 23rd May and I am freaking out. I need it!

hp5

A killer book. Both senses. Take it as you like.

The Scorch Trials

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. This book was intense, terrifying and downright creepy. The writing gave me serious goosebumps. It is definitely my favourite of the series and I really loved the film for it, too! It did not disappoint.

hp6.png

A book that you found really confusing.

Rebel of the Sands

I finished Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton and I honestly had no idea what I had just read. I had no idea who any of the characters were, what the plot of the book was and where it was going in the second book. It was one of the most confusing and frustrating books I have ever read. I don’t understand how so many people loved it? Maybe it’s just me? I haven’t continued the series because I heard if you didn’t like the first book then you won’t like the second so I’m going to avoid that second book.

hp7

Your spirit animal book.

Hush Hush

Ooh, this one was hard. I think Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I love that book and the series. It made me fall in love with her writing and just fantasy books in general.

hp8

A dark, twisted book.

Nevernight

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff was such a dark book and it had a really twisted story with murderous characters. Even the cover seems really dark and wicked. So I think it fits this one perfectly.

hp9

A book that surprised you in a great way, reveals to be more than it is.

falling-kingdoms

Definitely Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes! It’s a popular series but I have read quite a lot of negative reviews which made me hesitant to read it but I ended up being pleasantly surprised! I actually really loved it and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! I’m sure it will take a surprising turn!

I haven’t read most of the books on your list, but I do agree about Falling Kingdoms. I liked a good portion of it, but I did have some issues with it. The second one gets even more twisty, though. :O Wonderful tag and choices, and thanks so much for tagging me! I have actually already did this one, but thanks for thinking of me! 😀 Wonderful post! 🙂

Ahh! I can’t wait to read the second one! I think it will be on my TBR next month 😀 The first one was crazy so I am expecting everything to blow up in the second one! Haha, no problem! I thought a lot of people might have already done it 🙂 Thanks!
