Favourite Series I’d Like to Revisit!

Hey guys! Today I thought I’d take a look at some of my favourite series that I’d like to reread. With my massive TBR pile I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to reread these but I hope to one day!

Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab

I started this series in 2017 and finished it last year so it’s not too long ago that I read this and I already want to reread it! I absolutely adored these characters and this fantastic world V.E. Schwab created. It was fast paced and utterly unforgettable! One of my favourite fantasy series and Schwab is easily one of my favourite authors now.

Authors I Am Waiting on Another Book From!

Hey guys! I found this when I was searching old Top 5 Wednesday topics and thought it would be a fun post to do! I’ll be talking about new authors I discovered last year and old favourites and how I am impatiently waiting for new books from these amazing writers! I hope you enjoy!

M.L. Rio and Emily Koch

These were two of my favourite reads last year and they are debut novels too! I was completely blown away by the story, the writing and the characters. I was hooked from start to finish and was unable to put both books down. Both authors are so incredibly talented and both books contained such heartbreaking scenes. I was not expecting these books to be as great as they were and after finishing them, I was letting wanting more from both authors! I’m going to be waiting very impatiently for them to write their next book and hopefully they will be as dazzling as their debut novels!

Top 5 Wednesday: Nostalgic Book Boyfriends/Girlfriends

Hey guys! I’m so excited for this Top 5 Wednesday post as this week we can take a trip down memory lane and revisit those characters we swooned over when we were younger! This is going to be so good!

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

The Vampire Diaries1) Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith)

Using the TV show cover because I think everyone preferred the TV show to the books… But I read the books first and I absolutely adored Damon in the books. Then I watched the TV show and fell in love with Damon all over again! Damon’s character development is just incredible. He’s so misunderstood and everyone believes him to be a monster but he’s not. I loved watching him fall in love with Elena and seeing the way he was around her. He is very protective of those he loves and I just wanted to give him as much love as possible because he deserves it. He really deserves it. You can probably tell I was a Delena shipper.

Top 5 Wednesday: Books from Before You Joined Blogs/Bookstagram

Hey guys! I was honestly so excited when I saw this topic for Top 5 Wednesday! I have found so many fantastic books through the blogging community and bookstagram. I have so many favourite authors that I discovered from seeing their books getting amazing reviews or pictures being all over my Instagram feed. I rave about them all the time on my blog and my bookstgram but I forget to give my old favourites some love. So, without further ado, I am now going to give some much deserved love to my old favourites! Enjoy!

1) The Immortals by Alyson Noël

I freaking love these books! I’d never heard anything about them when I first picked them up because I wasn’t using bookstagram yet. I bought them purely for the covers because they really drew me in and made me want to read the books. I really loved them! The plot is really interesting because the main character can see people’s auras, hear their thoughts, and know someone’s entire life story by touching them. I was hooked throughout and devoured all six books in about a week. I loved the writing, the story, and the characters. Everything about these books was perfect for me. I feel like they’re really underrated and they definitely deserve more love! I highly recommend them for anyone who loves fantasy or paranormal books like me!

Top 5 Wednesday: Authors You Want to Read More From

Hey guys! This weeks topic is pretty self-explanatory, you talk about authors you want to read more from!

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

1) Becca Fitzpatrick

Becca Fitzpatrick is one of my favourite authors, I adore her books! Hush Hush was one of my favourite series when I was in high school. I was obsessed with fallen angels and Patch was my favourite character. Black Ice was a bit meh, not her best book but still pretty enjoyable. I really loved Dangerous Lies, it was full of mystery and suspense. It was a really intriguing story and I loved the plot twist at the end! I would absolutely love to read more books from her just because I love her writing and the characters she creates. Dangerous Lies came out last year and I haven’t heard her mention any other books she’s working on so I don’t think she will publish another book for a while which is sad.

Harry Potter Book Tag!

Hey guys! I was tagged by Jasmine (How Useful It Is) to do the Harry Potter Book Tag! Go check out her blog because she is so lovely and has great content! I haven’t done a book tag in a while and I am super excited to do this one because it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun!

HP

Original creator: Trang and Lashaan (Bookidote)

hp2

A book you found the theme interesting, but you’d like to rewrite it.

the-chemist

I thought the synopsis for The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer sounded really intriguing and it seemed like it would be a really great book. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the characters and the story was all over the place. It didn’t make a lot of sense and I just found it really stupid. It could have been way better.

Cover Buys!

Hey guys! I have been wanting to do this post for so long and have been finally able to do it! I was panicking because I realised I didn’t have a post for today and then I remembered this one! So it’s all good! I have so many books I bought purely for the covers and luckily I have ended up loving them!

Shatter Me1) Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I think we can all agree that this cover for Shatter Me is absolutely gorgeous and one of the best covers out there! This cover is so breathtakingly beautiful. I would seriously cry if I wrote a book and was given this cover. I had heard about Warner from Shatter Me but nothing about the story so I didn’t have a clue what it was about. I purely bought it for the cover and I actually ended up really liking it so win, win for me!

Books I Read in High School!

Hey guys! Since it was recently World Book Day (yay!), I thought it would be fun to look back on some of my favourite books I read in high school! It will be interesting to see how I progressed from children’s books to young adult books! You can see as the list goes on how the covers go from being really light and girly to being dark and filled to the brim with fantasy!

1) Jacqueline Wilson books

I first started reading Jacqueline Wilson’s books in primary school and carried on when I started Year 7! It was absolute heaven seeing all her books in stock in the school library! I’d grab one of a shelf and spend my lunch hour just getting lost in her books! It was very sad reaching that point where I no longer had the same interest or enthusiasm for her books but I would love to thank her for all the wonderful stories she wrote! I think I stopped reading them in Year 8 but I’m not too sure. It was so hard to pick which ones to include in this post because I love so many of them!

Top 5 Wednesday: Favourite Polarizing Books

Hello everyone! Here is another Top 5 Wednesday topic and it’s such an interesting one! It focuses on books that people either tend to love or hate, with no in between. We can pick some of our favourites that fall into this category. A lot of my choices have been made into films so obviously not everyone hated them but I have seen many people say they don’t like the writing or they don’t like the plot because it moves too slowly, etc.

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

twilight1) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Lets start with the most obvious choice, Twilight! I first read this when I was thirteen or fourteen, my friend told me about it and as soon as I heard about vampires and werewolves I just needed to read it. I love supernatural creatures and this book completely changed what books I read in the future. I moved away from everyday problems and children’s books and started reading more supernatural or fantasy books. I owe a lot to Stephenie Meyer and I absolutely loved the Twilight books. I’ve read the first one so much all the pages are falling out and the cover is all creased and battered. It’s a well read book because I have re-read it over and over, I just love it so much. I know a lot of people dislike the writing and the relationship between Bella and Edward. I have heard so many people say it wasn’t written very well but when I read it as a thirteen/fourteen year old I didn’t really care I would literally read anything.
