Fall Book Tag!

Hey guys! I spotted this tag on Kate’s blog and it looked so fun! I haven’t done a tag for a while so I thought this one would be perfect! It was created by Bionic Book Worm and she has also kindly allowed everyone to use her graphics, which I think is really nice! So lets get into it!

Seven DeathsThe Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton:

For this one it has to be Seven Deaths because this book was absolutely mind-blowing. It surged ahead of competition for one of best books I’ve read this year! The main character has to solve an impossible murder using the bodies he is given and the events that took place on the day Evelyn was murdered. On top of that, he is also being hunted by a crazy killer who is determined to stop him from ever getting to the truth. It’s one of the most puzzling murder mysteries I’ve ever read and I was left utterly clueless. It was an incredible book and well worth the read!

Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag!

Hey guys! I did this tag last year and I really enjoyed it so thought I’d revisit it this year! It’s crazy how we are in June already, where is this year going?? I’ve already completed my reading challenge of 30 books! I am now hoping to reach 50 and since I have half the year left, I am feeling pretty confident that I can achieve that! Here’s my picks for the mid-year freak out book tag:

Original creators: ReadLikeWildfire & Earl Grey Books

A Breath After Drowning

1) Best book you’ve read so far in 2018

This is a tough one because I have read so many amazing books so far and discovered some, albeit not many, fantastic authors! Alice Blanchard is just one of my newly discovered authors and this book was a rollercoaster from start to finish! One of the most amazing psychological thrillers I have read! I loved all of the characters, the twist at the end was on point and it had me hooked from start to finish. This book had everything I wanted and more! I can’t wait to read more books from her!

Netflix Book Tag!

Hey guys! I found this tag when I was scrolling through some BookTube vids and it seemed like a really fun one to do! I’m on Netflix every day and I’ve been slowly making my way through Friends so this tag seems very appropriate right now. I don’t know who the original creator is but all credit goes to them, whoever they are. Hope you enjoy!

Recently watched: The last book you finished reading

The last book I finished was Nightfall and I think this is possibly one of the worst books I have ever read. It was so awful. The writing was terrible, it didn’t flow together at all. I hated the characters so much! They had zero personality and despite being stranded on an island in the dark, with weird creatures trying to kill them, there was no emotion from them or any sense of urgency to escape. It makes me really angry that they compared this to The Maze Runner. This is nothing like that series and it’s just an insult to James Dashner. I would be very happy if I never saw this book again.

How I Choose My Books Tag!

Hey guys! First of, sorry for not posting on Wednesday! I’ve been ill and it’s one that just leaves you feeling drained afterwards. I’ve had no energy to do anything, really. I hope today’s post makes up for it! I found this tag and it looked pretty interesting, like something I’d enjoy doing! Unfortunately, I do not know who the creator was so I am unable to tag them.

A Stranger in the House

Find a book on your shelves or e-reader with a blue cover. What made you want to pick up this book?

I picked this up because I really liked Shari’s first book The Couple Next Door. It only took me a day to read this which is what I like about her writing. Her books are easy to read and they help me get out of book slumps. I did really like this book at the time but it’s not very memorable because I honestly can’t remember a single thing about it. I read it in July 2017 and I looked at my comments from my wrap up post to try and jog my memory but I still can’t remember anything about it.

Goodreads Book Tag!

Hey guys! I am very late to this book tag but I’m late for a lot of things so it doesn’t really surprise me. I stumbled across this whilst searching for book tags to do and it looked like a lot of fun! So here we go!

Batman Nightwalker

What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?

I finished this on the 8th Feb and posted a review for it yesterday! It wasn’t on my February TBR so I’m already failing my monthly TBR! It was a really great read and I loved Bruce very much! Would have loved more fight scenes though because they were awesome! Very excited for Catwoman now!

The Candy Book Tag!

Hey guys! It’s been a while since I did a book tag. I think my last one was in June? Haven’t really seen any since that I have felt like doing but then this one caught my eye! I mean, I really like food and I really like books, so it’s the perfect book tag! To avoid repeating a lot of what I’ve said in my previous tags, I’ll only talk about books I’ve read or seen on the shelves this year. So lets get into it!

Turtles All the Way DownApples: Ah. Healthy food. It is deep, meaningful, and probably won a lot of awards but, um, it really isn’t your thing.

Everyone is literally raving about this book. Like full on raving about it. It is probably a very deep and meaningful book because it’s written by John Green, but I have no interest in reading it. I have read a few of his other books, didn’t like them, so I won’t be reading this one. I just don’t enjoy his style of writing and find his books very difficult to read, even if he writes very relatable books. The only one I liked was The Fault in Our Stars so do with that what you will.

Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag!

Hey guys! I have seen quite a few people doing this tag recently and thought I’d join in! It’s the perfect tag to do because we are halfway through the year already which is insane! Like how is it June already? Madness. This tag looked like a lot of fun and I am excited to do it! I hope you enjoy!

If We Were Villains

1) Best book you’ve read so far in 2017

You all know how much I loved this book! It exceeded all of my expectations and stomped out any doubts I had over the Shakespearian parts! I don’t like Shakespeare but for this book I loved it! Amazing, amazing, amazing!
