April 2020 Wrap Up

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my April wrap up and I managed to read eight books. Compared to last month, I did enjoy them a lot more but there’s still a few that I didn’t like. Here’s what I read:

Strange the DreamerMuse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor: I really wish I could say I loved this duology, but sadly it wasn’t for me! I thought the story had a lot of potential and was intrigued by the different ability each character possessed. I would’ve loved way more attention on that rather than the romance between Lazlo and Sarai. Also, I was extremely disappointed with how little focus there was on Sarai in Muse of Nightmares. Maybe I missed something, but did she actually do anything in this book? The plot didn’t make sense to me at all and I was so, so tired of reading about how much Lazlo and Sarai loved each other. Birthday book haul!

Hey guys! It was my birthday yesterday and as always, I received a few books that I’m so excited to share with you today! Here’s what I got:

The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski: All aboard the hype wagon! I hadn’t heard of this series until the Netflix TV show was announced and I’m curious to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve not heard anything bad about the books so I hope I like them too!
