June Book Haul & Wrap Up!

Hey guys! I am combining my book haul and my wrap up post for this month because I had a terrible reading month. I have also been horrible for posting on my blog this month and I am truly sorry about that! I have hardly posted anything, it’s so bad. June has not been a good month for me in general but I’m feeling slightly better now, so hopefully I can read and post more in July!

Book haul:

The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter: This was literally £2.99 in Sainsbury’s! I couldn’t believe how cheap it was and immediately snatched a copy up. I have seen lots of amazing reviews for this so I can’t wait to read it now!

The Things We Learn When We’re Dead by Charlie Laidlaw: This was very kindly sent to me for review by the author and he actually signed it as well! That was such a lovely surprise and there was a cute little bookmark included as well. It sounds like a book I’d really like and the plot definitely seems unique! I’ll be reading this in July so keep an eye out for my review!

June TBR!

Hey guys! Even though I have been completely smashing my TBR the past two months, I am still going to set a low one this month as I like only having a small TBR. Having a small one each month is definitely more manageable and I feel it’s less pressure on myself. If I set a massive TBR I’d feel so stressed all month and rush to complete it. So I’ll be setting myself 6 books and if I manage to read them all before the end of the month, then I’ll just pick up another book at random. So without further ado, here is what I want to read this month:

The Rose Society The Midnight Star by Marie Lu: This series is a trilogy and I’ve already read the first book The Young Elites, so I’m going to now read the other two. The first one was OK, not great to be honest. I wasn’t sure if it was worth continuing but apparently the second book is a lot better so I’ve decided to get them both read. I’ve heard Marie Lu is a fantastic writer, maybe this isn’t one of her best series? I probably should have started with Legend but oh well.

May Book Haul!

Hey guys! I can’t believe it’s June on Friday, this year is going by way, way too fast! I feel like this year has gone by in such a blur. I feel like my book haul posts are slowing down now and I’m actually reading more books that I am buying. My May haul was small and I am pleased with what I have acquired this month. Three I purchased myself and one was sent to me for review: So without further ado, here is my May haul:

Charmcaster1) Charmcaster by Sebastien De Castell

I am actually in love with the covers for this series! They are so bright, so eye-catching and so damn beautiful! I was so excited when this book came out and I’m actually already halfway through it now! Expect to see it on my May wrap up, woop! I ordered a signed copy, but unfortunately it arrived damaged! I’m getting a replacement though so fingers crossed that one arrives in perfect condition! I thought I’d read this now though so I can keep my replacement nice! I’m being sneaky. From how much I have read of this so far, I love how each book has new characters and is in a different setting, it makes it that more exciting! I still love Kellen, he is so adorable.
