Least Favourite Books of 2017

Hey guys! This is the second wrap up post for 2017! I’ll be looking at my least favourite books and I’m sure a lot of you can guess what books will be on this list… Sorry if you don’t agree with me. If you loved these book, great! I wish I could have but sadly I really didn’t like these books!

1) The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer

I bet you all aren’t surprised to see this book on my list and in the number one spot too! That’s right, this was my least favourite book of 2017! Sadly my review has 200+ views and I’m sure it isn’t the most popular review. I bet a lot of people hate me for writing such a negative review but I’ll survive. Believe it or not I actually really wanted to like this book as I am a huge fan of Twilight and The Host. Plus with this being a thriller about a spy I was expecting it to be awesome. It was not very exciting and if you want to know why read my review because I can’t be bothered having another rant about how much I hate this book.

 

January Wrap Up!

Well this month was absolutely terrible when it came to reading! I read two books… Yep. Two freaking books. And they were awful! I did not enjoy them!

1) The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer

I just… I don’t even know where to start with this book. If you like you can read my review here but it does contain spoilers. Honestly it was one of the worst books I have ever read and I tried to write a spoiler free review but I just couldn’t. I was so angry when I was reading it and I just had to have a massive rant and take all of my anger out on my keyboard. I hated this book with a passion and I feel like Stephenie stabbed me in the back. She had the chance to write such an amazing book but instead she completely messed it up and her crime thriller became an eye-rolling romance. I would not recommend this awful book.

Currently reading:

I thought I’d try and quickly read this so I can knock another trilogy/series off my TBR! So far it is better than the second book Ice Like Fire. I thought that book was really boring in terms of plot but this one seems quite promising so far. I will be posting a review for this as soon as I finish it! I’m hoping that will be next week as I don’t want to spend too long reading this.

Theron from Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch! I fell in love with him straight away, he was such an adorable character. He definitely seemed like the romantic type and also someone you could count on to be there for you.

Top 5 Books of 2016 (So far!)

Since we are halfway through the year, I thought I would share with you some of my favourite books I have read so far. I have currently read twenty one books in 2016 and I want to try and read a ton more. Here are my top five favourite ones (in no particular order!):

1) Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare (The Dark Artifices 1#)

Cassandra Clare has absolutely smashed it again! I loved her previous Shadowhunter books known as The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices. I was ecstatic when this book came out and couldn’t wait to start reading it. I have always been envious of her writing, she just has a way of luring the reader in and not letting you go until you’ve read the very last page. The plot was so beautiful and so intricately woven it’s insane. How does she do that? I love her books so much and I’m dying to get the next book in this series. The characters were perfect as well I fell in love with them all and I can’t wait to read about them all again.

 

Most Anticipated Releases 2016!

There are so many great books coming out in September and I am so ready for them! Here is a list of the ones I am most excited for:

1) The Fever Code by James Dasher

I am so freaking excited for this you have no idea. I love The Maze Runner series so much and when this book was announced, I was so happy one of my favourite series wasn’t over. I had so many unanswered questions and I am so ready for this book to answer them. It comes out in the UK 27th September, is it bad that I’m already counting down the days?

May Wrap Up!

I didn’t get a lot of books read this month because I had a lot of work for university and spent half of the month writing essays. Here is a list of what I did manage to read:

1) Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch

This book was so good! I loved everything about it: the characters and the world they lived in. I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like about it and would definitely recommend it. I haven’t read a lot of books like this before and I think that’s what really drew me in. I really liked the magic side of the story and I just found it a really unique idea to write about. I couldn’t put it down and completely devoured it. You can read my full review here.
