Review of 2019!

Hey guys! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful start to 2020. I’m still on holiday until Monday thankfully but I honestly feel like Christmas went by so fast and I’m already dreading going back to work. Before I post my 2020 reading goals and my January TBR, I thought it’d be great to look back on my reading in 2019 as I think I absolutely smashed it. So let’s get into it!

So I originally set myself a goal of 40 books and I was worried I wouldn’t even read that because I ended up in a reading slump at the start of the year. Thankfully I managed to find the motivation to read again and once I hit my goal of 40, I then set myself a goal of 80 books but massively surpassed it and read 101! I finished 2018 on 71 books so even 2019 was a massive improvement. I can’t wait to see if I can pull this off again in 2020.

February 2019 Wrap Up!

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my February wrap up and I think my reading slump is finally over as I managed to read everything that was on my TBR! The first two books I didn’t enjoy but the last two were incredible and a great way to end the month! Here’s what I read:

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare: I finally finished this beast and while it wasn’t my favourite or anything like I was expecting, it was still a nice ending to this trilogy. I didn’t enjoy how the fantasy part took a backseat to the romance and how heavily it focused on events that happened in City of Heavenly Fire but I can’t deny that Cassie knows how to make her fans happy. Despite not enjoying this one, I’m still very much looking forward to her three 2019 releases! Also looking forward to seeing more of these characters and hopefully some better plots for them!

February 2019 TBR!

Hey guys! I don’t know about you but I’m so glad January is over now. It was such an awful month and it felt so long! I’m looking forward to pulling myself out of my slump this month and getting much more books read! You’re probably wondering why I’m even setting myself a TBR this month after the disaster that was January but it is with good reason. If I don’t set myself something, I know I won’t end up reading anything. Here is what I’m hoping to read:

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab: The first book I want to tackle this month is Vengeful! I’m going away this weekend and will be taking this with me so I don’t end up on my iPad binge watching The Office which I have seen so many times! I started it last year and got about 60 pages in and I already could tell I would love it so I am really hoping I’ll be able to fly through it over the weekend! I might potentially restart it in case I’ve forgotten anything as I wasn’t that far in.

Top 5 Wednesday: Top of Your TBR

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you a TBR post for Top 5 Wednesday and I guess it is just your priority reads for 2019! There’s lots of books I’m itching to read all of a sudden and some of them with good reason, so let’s get into it!

Caraval & Legendary by Stephanie Garber: So FairyLoot announced that they will be doing a collector’s edition box for Finale by Stephanie Garber and even though I haven’t read the first two books (yet!), I am very interested in this. I really love the merch for these books and I’ve seen some really awesome quotes from Legendary. I think it goes on sale in March so that gives me a month to read the first two. If I don’t like them, I’ll probably pass on the box but maybe still buy odd bits of the merch if I like it! But finally I’m motivated to read these books that have been sat on my shelf for months!

January 2019 TBR!

Hey guys! I only have four books on my TBR for January as I’m still trying to get back into the swing of things after being lazy for a week and a half. January will definitely be a slow month for me but I’m fine with that as my reading challenge is only 40 books anyway. Here’s what I’d like to read this month:

Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare: I started this during my week off at Christmas and I’m still not even halfway yet! I’m hoping to finish it this month but I’m not in any rush, I’m happy to just take my time with it! I think because it’s the last book and I don’t want another series to end. I’m dragging it out apparently!

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab: I was gutted I wasn’t able to read this in December but I am determined to finish it this month! I’ve heard it’s even better than the first one and that book was amazing! Honestly I am very impressed with Schwab and totally loving her books!

December 2018 Book Haul!

Hey guys! I’m posting my book haul a little early this month because I do not plan on acquiring anymore books this year as I have bought A LOT! I did not expect to buy this many books in December but things happened and I don’t regret buying them so it’s all good! Can you believe this is the last haul of the year? So crazy! Here’s what I picked up:

Vicious & Vengeful by V.E. Schwab: So I had no plans to buy these books any time soon but then I saw someone in the UK selling the Illumicrate edition of Vengeful for only £25. I thought that was crazy cheap and I was like I really need that in my life! So then of course I had to buy the hardback of Vicious and I’m very pleased with them both. They are so pretty!
