Hey guys! Today I’ll be unboxing Illumicrate’s January book. I was very excited to get my hands on this because it’s one of my most anticipated reads for the year and the customisations sounded fantastic. Also, it’s my first time receiving a box with two books. Illumicrate has done this a few times and I’ve only heard good things about the previous boxes so I’m looking forward to reading the paperback choice for this month’s box.Continue reading
Hey guys! Today I am unboxing Illumicrate’s December book and unfortunately, I was spoiled for this. My box was delayed and I saw everyone else’s photos on Facebook BTS groups. Hey guys! Today I’ll be unboxing Illumicrate’s November book and I think everyone knows what the book is going to be. I normally like to be surprised but I’ve seen this book all over Twitter and some Facebook groups, so when I saw the theme card I instantly knew what it was. I was going to buy the paperback and I’m so glad I didn’t now because the Illumicrate edition is so beautiful. It was well worth the wait for it. This sounds like a book I’d enjoy so I’m very happy to have such a pretty edition.Continue reading
Hey everyone! I received my Illumicrate editions of Lore Olympus by Rachel Smythe and ExtraOrdinary by V.E. Schwab and and thought I’d unbox them on my blog. They’re very pretty editions!
Illumicrate’s edition of Lore Olympus is stunning! It has foil in the title on the cover and ombre blue and pink edges. There’s also an author letter bound into the book. It’s not signed, unfortunately, but the ombre edges more than make up for it. At least for me, anyway. I know this series is a popular webtoon comic and I’m so excited to finally read it. It’s so much bigger than I was expecting. I’m used to graphic novels being tiny so I was definitely surprised by how chunky Lore Olympus is. I looked inside and the artwork inside is so pretty. I love this edition!Continue reading
Hey guys! Today I’m unboxing probably my most anticipated book this year from Illumicrate. I already guessed what the book was going to be from the teaser video, but when they confirmed it I was so excited to see what customisations they’d do. I am very happy with this edition and they definitely didn’t disappoint me.Continue reading

Hey guys! I have another Illumicrate unboxing for you today and this time it’s Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé, which is the company’s first debut box! This book has been on my radar for a while now so I was very excited when this box was announced and ordered one straight away. It’s been quite a good box and I’ll definitely be looking out for more in future. Let’s get into the unboxing!
So that I don’t spoil the items, I’ll do them last. Here is the stunning book and just look at the cover! If you’re wondering what makes this edition special, Illumicrate featured an exclusive hardback edition of the UK cover, while all other booksellers are selling a paperback edition. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with an author letter though there’s no artwork on the other side, which is disappointing. I love YA thrillers and this one is dark academia. It sounds incredible and I’m really excited to read it.Continue reading
Hey guys! Today I’ll be unboxing Illumicrate’s May book only box and unfortunately, I was spoiled for this on Twitter. A couple weeks ago I saw some tweets saying what the May book was and I was gutted because I like not knowing what the book is. I know the art on the spoiler card tends to be really obvious and gives it away but I don’t keep that up-to-date with new releases, so a lot of the time it’s a surprise for me what the book is. I wasn’t happy about being spoiled but at least I didn’t know what the book would actually look like. It’s such a pretty edition and I’m very excited to read it.Continue reading
