Review of 2020!

Hey guys! Happy New Year! Today I am bringing you my review of 2020 where I look back on my reading year and see how I did with my 2020 goals. So let’s get into it!

I read 32,537 pages across 101 books, which I am really happy about! I set myself a goal of 80 books and I managed to surpass that yet again. This is exactly the exact same amount I read last year, however, I didn’t manage to read as many pages. Despite working from home, I felt like I lost some reading time as I wasn’t spending 40 minutes on the train commuting to and from work. I still prefer working from home though, without a doubt. It really helped me to tackle some of the massive hardbacks I had sitting on my shelf.

Highest Rated Books On My TBR

Hey guys! I feel like last year even though I said I wanted to tackle my TBR, I mostly just ended up ignoring it but this year I want that to be different. I think if I actually look at the books that are on there, it might actually spur me on to read some of them! So today I am looking at the top ten highest rating books that are currently on my TBR, according to Goodreads. Let’s get into it!

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas (Rating 4.66): I actually forgot this was on my TBR I thought I’d removed it, whoops. I’m not even surprised that it’s the highest rated book because the amount of people I’ve seen and heard people raving about this book is insane. Unfortunately I didn’t feel the same and DNF’ed it when I was about halfway through. I do want to give it another try but I’m struggling to motivate myself to pick it up again.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo (Rating 4.61): This book is just taunting me now. I will admit though that I am surprised that it’s the second highest rated book. I know Leigh Bardugo is an amazing author but I thought it’d be a bit lower down on my list. I want to read this before I read King of Scars so trust me when I say I will read this!

2020 Reading/Blogging Resolutions!

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my 2020 reading/blogging resolutions and have chosen five goals that I want to achieve by the end of the year. I hope you enjoy!

Screenshot 2020-01-02 at 7.22.52 pm.png1) Read 80 books

Since I read 71 books in 2018 and 101 in 2019, I feel pretty confident about setting a much higher challenge for myself this year. Normally I start off small, like 40 books or so, but I’m going straight for 80 and who knows, I might end up hitting 100 again!

2019 Reading/Blogging Resolutions!

Hey guys! I thought it would be a good idea to set myself some reading goals for 2019 and hopefully come back to midway through the year to see how I’m doing! I’ve set myself five goals and I’m feeling pretty confident I can stick to them. Here’s my goals for 2019:

Even though I did really well in 2018, I’m still going to aim for a low number this year just incase. I don’t want to struggle to hit my target and end up stressing trying to read anything and everything. I think 40 is a nice chill number and it’ll let me relax with my reading! I don’t want reading to become a chore so a target of 40 books is fine with me.

All of my unread books! (Nearly 100!)

Hey guys! I am back off holiday now and I had such an amazing time! I’m sorry for not posting but I decided to take a break from my blog and spent the two weeks relaxing! 🙂

Now that I’m back, I decided to count all of my unread books and it is not pretty! I always feel better seeing how many unread books other people have and it makes me feel better because I’m always like at least I’m not that bad! I was wrong. I was living in denial because it’s very bad. I have 98 unread books! 98! Help?! Honestly I have no idea why I let it get so bad and now I feel very overwhelmed, yay! But at least every month I will get to see the number slowly going down and it will motivate me to stop buying other books!

I’m only going to try and buy books now that I really want such as Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare! I’ll try telling myself that all the others can wait until I have a nice number of books on my TBR! Below are my unread books. I hope you can read them OK, I took screenshots on Goodreads. It’s very inconvenient not being on YouTube sometimes.
