October 2020 Wrap Up

Hey guys! Today I am sharing my October wrap up and I’m pleased to say that I read more than I did last month. Last month I only managed four books, but in October I read seven books and I enjoyed all of them so it was a successful month. Also, I completed my reading challenge, yay! Here’s what I read:

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab: I dived right into this at the start of the month and it didn’t take me long to read at all. While it’s not my favourite Schwab book, I did really enjoy it and I was completely captivated by the characters. Everyone probably knows what it’s about by now, but it follows Adeline LaRue, a girl who’s born in the wrong time and place. Desperate to escape marriage, she makes a deal with the devil – she agrees to let him have her soul when she doesn’t want it anymore. We get to see Addie go on epic adventures starting from 1714 all the way up to 2014. It was such a powerful and unforgettable story.

October 2020 TBR

Hey guys! Today I am sharing my October TBR and after the disaster last month, I hope to read a lot more books! I’ve picked a good selection and some potentially creepy books for Halloween! Even though Halloween won’t be the same this year, I can still pick some good books for it. Here’s what I want to read this month:

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab: I am so excited to finally read this! It sounds like Schwab’s most exciting book yet. A deal with the devil? A curse where a girl is forgotten by everyone? It sounds so chilling and haunting. Schwab always writes such amazing stories and I can’t wait to read this one.

Someone’s Listening by Seraphina Nova Glass: I’m really intrigued by this one. Faith Finley is a talented psychologist who wrote a book on escaping a predator and now one is coming for her. It sounds incredibly twisty; I’ve already read the first couple chapters and the writing so far is brilliant. I think I will enjoy this one!
