Book haul – 2020

Hey guys! Today I’m sharing with you some more books I’ve purchased this year with my own money and I’m actually surprised by how many I’ve bought in 2020. I’ve managed to acquire 16 books so far this year (this doesn’t include multiple copies) and I’m really excited to share my most recent buys with you. I’ve also decided to include some of my own pictures! They’re not very good, but since I wanted to talk about the multiple copies I thought it would be best to take my own.

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas: I had to share pictures of my stunning copies of House of Earth and Blood. I ordered both Waterstones editions – the hardback with exclusive red sprayed edges and the tour edition. I love both these editions so much and I’m so glad I was able to get my hands on a copy of the tour edition. I read this book when it came out and I loved it so much. I can’t wait for the second book to come out.

Birthday book haul!

Hey guys! It was my birthday yesterday and as always, I received a few books that I’m so excited to share with you today! Here’s what I got:

The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski: All aboard the hype wagon! I hadn’t heard of this series until the Netflix TV show was announced and I’m curious to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve not heard anything bad about the books so I hope I like them too!

January 2020 Book Haul!

Hey guys! You know how said I wanted to tackle my TBR this year? Well I’m not really helping myself achieve that goal with all the books I got in the first month of 2020. On the plus side, they look like good books and I don’t regret getting them. Also half of them were kindly sent to me for review. Here’s what I got this month:

The Sight of You by Holly Miller: I won this one in a giveaway and it doesn’t come out until June 2020 so I was thriller about that! I don’t normally go for romance but this one had a nice twist to it which sounded really intriguing. There’s two main characters: Joel and Callie. Joel has visions of the future and he believes the only way to prevent bad things from happening is to never let anyone close to him again. Callie has been lost since her best friend died and doesn’t know how to be the person she used to be. When they meet, it feels life-changing until Joel has a vision of how it’s going to end. It sounds really good and I hope it lives up to my expectations!

Christmas Book Haul!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and an awesome time with your loved ones. Today I thought I’d share with you all the books I received this month. I said in my TBR post that I took part in a festive book exchange so quite a lot of books came from there.

Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty: I’ve been loving crime thrillers involving wellness retreats and a bunch of friends or strangers being stuck together in the middle of nowhere with no connection to the outside world. The ones I have read have been really intense and Liane Moriarty is a very popular author so I’m really excited to try this one!

Book Haul #2

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my second book haul of the year. It’s been ages since I posted my last one, maybe March? Crazy how that time has flown! Back then I was doing the read three books buy one challenge and incase you are wondering, I’ve stopped doing that now simply because I can’t be bothered keeping track anymore. I think I got halfway through the year and then just stopped, whoops!

Anyway, here are books I’ve purchased lately and a lot of these I bought because they’re by my favourite authors or I just really liked their previous books! Here’s what I got:

Finale by Stephanie Garber: I’m late talking about this because I already read it (finally!). It was so good and such an awesome end to such a beautiful series. Stephanie’s writing is seriously magical and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff: I’ve been waiting two freaking years for this book and it’s finally here! I have completely forgot what happened in Nevernight so I will be starting the whole trilogy from scratch. Also how beautiful is this cover? So nice!

Book haul!

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my first book haul of 2019. In case you didn’t know, I decided this year I would buy 1 book for every 3 I read, excluding gift cards or books I received as presents. So that means I’m probably going to have random book hauls scattered throughout the year while I build up a small pile! Also by doing this, I hope to tackle my TBR and hopefully I will have brought it down quite a bit by the end of the year. Here’s what I’ve acquired so far:

The Colour of Bee Larkham’s Murder by Sarah J. Harris and The House on Half Moon Street by Alex Reeve

So at the start of the year, WH Smith had an amazing deal where if you bought one book, you got another FREE. Now I would have been pretty crazy not to get anything so of course I bought these two books. I was wanting to buy Bee Larkham anyway because it sounds amazing so I was ecstatic to see that was in the offer. Half Moon Street caught my eye with all the surgical equipment on the cover. It looks pretty chilling and I’m all for a disturbing read. I haven’t read either of these yet but hopefully I will get around to them soon!

December 2018 Book Haul!

Hey guys! I’m posting my book haul a little early this month because I do not plan on acquiring anymore books this year as I have bought A LOT! I did not expect to buy this many books in December but things happened and I don’t regret buying them so it’s all good! Can you believe this is the last haul of the year? So crazy! Here’s what I picked up:

Vicious & Vengeful by V.E. Schwab: So I had no plans to buy these books any time soon but then I saw someone in the UK selling the Illumicrate edition of Vengeful for only £25. I thought that was crazy cheap and I was like I really need that in my life! So then of course I had to buy the hardback of Vicious and I’m very pleased with them both. They are so pretty!

November 2018 Book Haul!

Hey guys! November has flown by and I am so ready for Christmas but before I get in the Christmas spirit, I have to write my wrap up posts! Sad for you but good for me, this is going to be a really quick post as I actually only purchased two (three if you count the same book purchased twice!) books this month and I was sent one for review! I think some of you will be pleased with one of my choices as a lot of people have been telling me to read it!

Also I’m sorry again for my sporadic posting, I’ve not really had a lot of time this month to blog but I’m hoping in December I’ll be feeling a little better and more motivated! So here’s the very small amount of books I purchased/received in November:

A Map of Days1) A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs:

First up, I finally got my hands on, not one, but two copies of A Map of Days and I also got them signed as I went to one of Ransom Riggs’ UK tour events! I wrote a post about it if you want to check it out but here is a spoiler, it was awesome and so much fun! It’s been years since I read Library of Souls and I’m a little hazy on the ending so maybe I will re-read the last few chapters to remind myself of what happened. I do remember the last 100 or so pages was absolutely insane though! I’m really excited to dive back into this world and I cannot wait to see how the peculiars manage in America! I’ve actually missed these characters and the peculiar photographs!

October 2018 Book Haul!

Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well and are having a great month! I’m sorry for my lack of posting last week, I was actually ill halfway through the week so I didn’t have time to sit down and write anything. But today I am bringing you my October book haul! Sadly I bought a lot again this month but I have already read two of the books I purchased so that’s something! Here’s what I bought:

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton: I popped in Waterstones for a browse which in hindsight I should have known was a big mistake because I saw this in buy one get one half price. I had no intention of buying it but the staff member I was talking to said it was an absolutely mind-blowing book and that I should read it. I was immediately sold because he also said it was one of his favourite books! I read it last week so my thoughts will be in my wrap up post!

Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay: The staff member was kind enough to include a book that wasn’t in the deal and he actually recommended the first book in the Dexter series. I didn’t even know what this series was about despite it having a TV show but he said he really loved this series, so I decide to purchase this as well! Again, I read this last week and will include my thoughts in my wrap up post!
