Favourite Series I’d Like to Revisit!

Hey guys! Today I thought I’d take a look at some of my favourite series that I’d like to reread. With my massive TBR pile I don’t know when I’ll get the chance to reread these but I hope to one day!

Shades of Magic by V.E. Schwab

I started this series in 2017 and finished it last year so it’s not too long ago that I read this and I already want to reread it! I absolutely adored these characters and this fantastic world V.E. Schwab created. It was fast paced and utterly unforgettable! One of my favourite fantasy series and Schwab is easily one of my favourite authors now.

Marvel Avengers Book Tag!

Hey guys! I’m super late to this tag but I’ve been wanting to do it for months and since Avengers: Endgame comes out this week I thought now would be the perfect opportunity to do it! I’m seeing it on Friday and I am definitely not prepared even though we’ve been waiting a year for it! If anyone else is seeing it, I hope you are more prepared for it than I am! Anyway, here’s the video I used for this tag and here’s my take on it!

Iron Man: Favourite first book in a series

I loved this book so incredibly much. I’ve read many series but I don’t think any of them have blown me away quite like Vicious did. It was such an awesome story with very fleshed out characters and I loved how Eli and Victor both set out with the intention of doing good but then they both become so drunk on power they lose themselves completely. It was definitely one of my favourite character driven books and I loved how there was also so many shocking twists throughout as well.

Favourite Authors of 2018!

Hey guys! I hope you are all having an awesome month! Today I am bringing you a list of my favourite 2018 authors! I really loved these authors and I’m really excited to share them with you so hopefully you can discover them too! I hope you enjoy!

V.E. Schwab

V.E. Schwab is not a new author to me. I read A Darker Shade of Magic in 2017 and while I did enjoy it, I didn’t continue the series so I couldn’t really appreciate her awesomeness.  I took books two and three on holiday with me this year and finished them in less than a week. Such an amazing trilogy and I also fell completely in love with Kell! I’m currently halfway through Vicious and she is easily one of my favourite authors now! I honestly didn’t think she could top Shades of Magic but it’s super close without me even having finished Vicious! I love the story so much and I think it’s so cool what has happened so far! V.E. Schwab is honestly a fantastic author and I am in awe at these incredible worlds and characters she creates. How does she do it?! I would love to see inside her mind because I bet she has lots of cool ideas flying around in there! I can’t wait to buy her other books!

Books I really want to buy but I’m restraining myself!

Hey guys! I feel like this post follows on quite nicely from my previous one! In that post I talked about books I had to buy, but haven’t yet read! Now I’ll be talking about books I really want to buy but I’m stopping myself because I have too many books and I cannot buy anymore! I hope you enjoy!

Collector’s Editions: A Darker Shade of Magic, Vicious and Vengeful by V.E. Schwab

I’ll start with Schwab books, shall I? These collector’s editions are absolutely stunning and I want them so badly! But I’m trying to hold out until Christmas at least because they are so expensive and I have a lot of other books I need to read first. But I really want to read Vicious and Vengeful because they sound so freaking good! Plus Schwab is a really great writer and I love her books.

Mid-Year Freak Out Book Tag!

Hey guys! I have seen quite a few people doing this tag recently and thought I’d join in! It’s the perfect tag to do because we are halfway through the year already which is insane! Like how is it June already? Madness. This tag looked like a lot of fun and I am excited to do it! I hope you enjoy!

If We Were Villains

1) Best book you’ve read so far in 2017

You all know how much I loved this book! It exceeded all of my expectations and stomped out any doubts I had over the Shakespearian parts! I don’t like Shakespeare but for this book I loved it! Amazing, amazing, amazing!

Top 5 Wednesday: Books That Would Make Good Video Games

Hey guys! It’s been nearly a month since I did my last Top 5 Wednesday post but I haven’t really been interested in the past few topics! This one, however, seemed like quite an interesting one so I couldn’t resist taking part!

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

I really love video games and even though it says not all video games are action games, the books I will be choosing will have a lot of action in them if they were ever made into games! I absolutely love action games, they are the best kind! I love horror games too but I prefer watching other people play them because I’m too scared to play them myself. I’m so weak. Anyway, lets get into it!

tmr1) The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Okay, could you imagine if this was ever made into a game? It would be fantastic! I think it would make for an excellent horror game, especially in The Scorch Trials! They could include creepy music and then it could get really intense when all the cranks come and start chasing them. My God, that would be scary! It’s already getting my blood pumping just thinking about it! They could have some kickass action scenes when they are trying to escape the maze and wicked, etc. I’d love to see what the Griever would look like, I bet they would make it so scary looking. Ahh, this would make such an awesome game!

Book Covers: UK vs US (#2)

Hey guys! I did a post on this a while back which you can find here! Recently I have been really wanting to do another because I have noticed a lot of books with two different covers for the US and the UK.

One of the things I find increasingly frustrating in the UK is that a lot of newly released books tend to come out in paperback straightaway and they aren’t made very well, either. A lot of them are quite flimsy so I then have to go out of my way to purchase the hardback copy. Thankfully we have places like Book Depository to get all those beautiful US hardbacks!

For this post the UK covers will be on the left and the US covers will be on the right!

1) A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

Even though these covers aren’t that drastically different I still had problems with the UK cover compared to the US one. I was expecting the colour of the cover to be purple so was surprised to see this turquoise colour. I saw the UK cover and immediately felt disappointed because the colour literally looks like something you’d use on Microsoft Paint. It looks really boring and dull. The US cover looks absolutely gorgeous in comparison! I love how it looks darker because I think this book will be quite dark in terms of the story and I love how it also has smoke curling around her and drifting upwards. It just looks so much better than the UK cover even though it only has small differences. I think the UK one shows the dress off more because it seems brighter and it looks more detailed but I’m definitely going with the US cover for this.
