Book Series I Want to Finish in 2021

Hey guys! Today I am going to share with you the series that I’m currently in the middle of and want to finish in 2021. I’m basically showing you how terrible I am at keeping up with series. For some reason, I can’t binge-read an entire series because I get bored of the same characters and the story. I have no idea if anyone else can relate to this but it’s really unhelpful when it comes to keeping up with series because I tend to get halfway and then stop to pick up something else. That has resulted in me being in the middle of so many series and I’ve cherry-picked the ones I want to finish this year. Without further ado, here they are!

Grace & Fury by Tracy Banghart: I read this book in 2018 just before it came out and I absolutely loved it. I rated it five stars and I was so excited for the sequel but then when that came out in 2019 I didn’t pick it up! I have no idea why! I haven’t read any reviews for it so I have no idea if people thought it was good or bad. It’s on my shelf waiting to be read, but for some reason I keep avoiding picking it up. I definitely want to go back and reread the first book before picking up Queen of Ruin – I just need to be in the mood for it, I think? If you’ve read the sequel and loved it, please let me know!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir: I love this series so much and have every intention of finishing it next month as the final book in the series was released in December. I’m definitely nervous though because I didn’t enjoy A Reaper at the Gates as much as I did the first two and I don’t want this amazing series to be ruined with the last book. I will be finishing it though!

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo: Everyone is probably sick of seeing this book on the same list every year and you’re not alone, I’m sick of it too! I want to reread Six of Crows first because there’s probably lots that I’ve forgotten. I think because this series is so incredibly hyped up that it’s made me nervous about reading it again in case I don’t like it? The hype is putting me off!

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: I have spoken about this series far too much on my blog so I’m not going into detail, but there’s hope I may finish it yet because I’m currently rereading ACOTAR! With a new book coming out this year, I thought I should give this series a second chance. I’m hoping that I might have a newfound appreciation for this series after devouring House of Earth and Blood.

Me Before You by JoJo Moyes: The only reason I never finished this series is because I thought Me Before You worked fine as a standalone. It didn’t need a sequel in my opinion. Also, I read a lot of negative reviews for After You and a lot of people said it was pointless. However, since I do own the entire series I want to give it a try before deciding whether or not to unhaul the other books. I’ll definitely be keeping my copy of Me Before You because I loved this book so much, but I’m not going to hesitate to get rid of the others if I don’t like them.

Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs: This is one of my favourite series, I adore it so much. I’ll be finishing it soon as the final book comes out in February. I’m really excited to see how it ends but I’m also gutted that there will be no more books in this series to look forward to. The only positive is that I’ll have crossed another series off my list but I wish it wasn’t this one!

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes: I read this book in 2017 and didn’t continue with the series even though I loved the first book and own the entire series. I’m just terrible at keeping up with series! I’ve been eyeing these books up recently though and I actually want to pick them up now so I may reread Falling Kingdoms next month! Strike while the iron is hot and all.

One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus: In my defence, when I first read this book it was a standalone and I thought I was done with it. But then the author came out with a sequel and I’m not complaining at all because I love her books and I’ve heard nothing but good things about One Of Us Is Next. Since she’s releasing so many books now I really want to catch up before I end up falling behind and as a bonus I can tick off another series on my list!

So that’s a lot of series I want to try and finish this year! Have you read any of them? Please let me know which ones were your favourite. I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
