Books I Want to Read in January 2021

Hey guys! I still can’t believe 2020 is finally over and that I’m sharing my first TBR post of 2021 with you today. Let’s hope we have a better year! I decided to change up the title a bit I got bored of using ‘[Month, year] TBR’. Hopefully this title is a bit more exciting? Anyway, for this month I’m going to be starting my resolutions by reading my newest books and continuing with some series! Here’s what I want to read:

Burnt Island by Kate Rhodes: I recently spoke about this in my Christmas book haul so I won’t go into detail again, but this is the third book in the DI Ben Kitto series and I’ve been really enjoying it. The fourth book comes out in paperback later this year so I need to catch up ready for its release!

The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson: I was lucky enough to be sent an ARC of this in November and it comes out in February so I’ll definitely be reading it this month. It sounds so thrilling and I’m really excited to get into it. There’s a serial killer on the loose and his work matches that of the notorious Jigsaw Killer who is behind bars. The police are racing to catch him before more bodies are found, but so is the Jigsaw Killer. Will it take a killer to catch the killer? Ahh, it sounds so good! I have high hopes for it.

The Toll by Neal Shusterman: One of my resolutions is to finish series I’m in the middle of and one of these is the Arc of a Scythe series. I’m up to the final book and I’ve been really enjoying this series so I’m looking forward to seeing how it all ends! I’m so curious to see what happens with the Thunderhead and the corruption in the Scythedom.

Nine Elms by Robert Bryndza: This is another one I got for Christmas so I won’t go into it again in detail but this is a brand new series that follows disgraced police detective Kate Marshall and her fight for redemption. This book in particular is about a copycat killer. I love Robert’s writing, I really enjoyed his Detective Erika Foster series so I have very high hopes for this one.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas: I have decided that I’m going to give the ACOTAR series a second chance. If you didn’t know, I DNF’ed the second book in 2016 but I never unhauled them. These books been sat on my shelf for so long now that I really need to make a decision about them so I’m going to see if I can finish the second book this time round. If I can’t finish it, I’m getting rid of the series!

So these are all the books I want to read this month! I haven’t picked as many out because The Toll and ACOMAF are big books. I think they’ll take me a while to get through. What books do you want to read this month? Feel free to leave a comment below. I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
