Birthday book haul!

Hey guys! It was my birthday yesterday and as always, I received a few books that I’m so excited to share with you today! Here’s what I got:

The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski: All aboard the hype wagon! I hadn’t heard of this series until the Netflix TV show was announced and I’m curious to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve not heard anything bad about the books so I hope I like them too!

Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid: This is another book that’s been getting lots of hype and I couldn’t resist asking for the stunning Waterstones edition. I love how vibrant the cover is and the sprayed edges are absolutely gorgeous. It sounds like a unique crime thriller filled with lots of twists, hopefully I’ll enjoy it!

A Window Breaks by C.M. Ewan: This was on my list of most anticipated books for 2020 and I was so happy to get a copy for my birthday. It sounds like one of those fight or flight books. The main character is awoken in the middle of the night by a burglar and the choice is either to run or stay and fight. It’s piqued my curiosity because I really doubt that’s all the book is about! There’s got to be some twist in there somewhere.

The Rumour by Lesley Kara: I have wanted this book for so long and it being my birthday seemed like the perfect time to finally get a copy. I have no idea what it’s like as I haven’t read any reviews or seen anyone talking about it. I just know it’s about a rumour heard at the school gates that the main character ends up passing on and it leads to something very dark! I’d love if it was one of those dramatic thrillers.

Have you read any of these books? I’d love to know your thoughts! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!

I hope you enjoy your book haul! I’ve read Daisy Jones and the Six and the only thing I’ll say is this…. it’s not a crime thriller with a ton of twists! So if that’s what you’re thinking you’re reading be prepared for it to not be that at all!

It was a 4 star read for me though so it’s still a good book 😛
