Hey guys! I noticed the other day that I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday post since 2018 which is insane, so I thought I’d post one today. I like doing reading updates every now and again, and WWW Wednesday is the perfect way to do it.
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
To take part, all you have to do is answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Well, one of my reading goals for February was to finish the Fawkes and Baxter trilogy by Daniel Cole and Endgame is the last book! I absolutely love this series and I have thoroughly enjoyed rereading the first two books. Endgame has not disappointed me so far and has actually been a wild ride. I’ve mourned one of my favourite characters, welcomed back another and laughed at lots of scenes. It has been quite different to the first two books but definitely in a good way. I love how it has brought everyone closer together; I’ve loved seeing them slowly transition from being wary of one another to actually working together to solve a case, especially for their friend. I can’t wait to see how this all wraps up and it’s definitely one I’ll be reading again in the future.
Before I started my reread of the aforementioned series, I finally read The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn and after reading some mixed reviews, I can happily say I am on the loved it side. Also, I’m very excited for the film now! It looks really similar to the book which is good. Anyway, I thought this was a very unique and interesting thriller. Admittedly, I’ve never heard of agoraphobic before so it was actually quite an eye-opening read. I found it really creepy at times and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. It a really addicting read and for a book that is centred around a woman’s fear of leaving her home, it had so many shocking twists. If you like slow burners with an explosive ending, I’d definitely pick this one up!
What I’ll read next:
A friend of a friend very kindly lent me his copy of Death Note, Vol. 2 and I’ll definitely be reading that this weekend. Squeezing my last February read in hopefully! I watched the TV show probably like six years ago but never read the manga so I was ecstatic when my friend said she’d lend me Vol. 1. I remember being hooked on the TV show so I’m not surprised that I’m hooked on the manga now as well. It’s honestly so addicting.
So I think my February has been pretty good reading wise. What are you guys currently reading? Feel free to leave a comment down below. I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading.
