Hey guys! Today I thought I’d finally share with you my December TBR. Unfortunately I was ill for the first week of December and didn’t manage to get any reading or blogging done. Hopefully I can have a pretty strong end to the year and make up for having such a dismal start to the month! Here’s what I want to read:
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley: I am taking part in a festive book exchange where you buy a book off someone’s wishlist and I was super excited to receive The Hunting Party. It’s about a group of close friends who get together for New Year – their yearly tradition – but this time one of them ends up dead and it’s not an accident. I can’t wait to see if I can work out who did it and what their motive was! I’ve heard so many great things about this and I so hope it doesn’t disappoint.
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater: One of my most anticipated reads! I can’t wait to curl up in a blanket and spend my day reading this. Ronan was definitely the most intriguing character out of them all and I’m so glad he has his wn trilogy. I definitely think we’ve got so much more to see and find out about him.
The Dark Vault by V.E. Schwab: I started reading this before I got sick and I liked what I read so far. I would have kept reading it but Schwab’s books deserve my full attention and I can’t give that when I’m sick! So I’ll definitely be going back to this when I’m feeling 100% myself again.
The Empress by S.J. Kincaid: The Diabolic was an unexpected favourite of mine and after I finished it I immediately wanted to start the second one. Sadly I didn’t actually own a copy so I’ve had to wait but I’ll definitely be picking it up this month! I can’t believe it was originally meant to be a standalone – not possible after that ending! I still have so many questions.
Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney: I have been wanting to read this book for so long partly because the synopsis has intrigued me and because I’ve heard so many amazing things about Alice’s writing!
I Will Make You Pay by Teresa Driscoll: Amazon has been promoting the hell out of this book so I finally caved. It’s another stalker book and they’re my favourites – I love the creepiness of them and how on edge they make you feel. Also, it helps that this one has pretty good reviews!
So those are the books I’d like to read in December! Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them? What books are you planning on reading this month? I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
