Hey guys! Today I am bringing you a TBR post for Top 5 Wednesday and I guess it is just your priority reads for 2019! There’s lots of books I’m itching to read all of a sudden and some of them with good reason, so let’s get into it!
Caraval & Legendary by Stephanie Garber: So FairyLoot announced that they will be doing a collector’s edition box for Finale by Stephanie Garber and even though I haven’t read the first two books (yet!), I am very interested in this. I really love the merch for these books and I’ve seen some really awesome quotes from Legendary. I think it goes on sale in March so that gives me a month to read the first two. If I don’t like them, I’ll probably pass on the box but maybe still buy odd bits of the merch if I like it! But finally I’m motivated to read these books that have been sat on my shelf for months!
Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare: I’m meeting Cassandra Clare in FEBRUARY and I am so excited! I have been wanting to meet her for so long but she NEVER comes anywhere near me. I was was so ecstatic to see she was visiting more places this year! I’m not even halfway through QOAAD yet so I really need to push myself to finish it because I have no idea if the talk will be spoiler-y or not! Best to play it safe and get it finished! I don’t think this has been her best series but I’ve still enjoyed it nonetheless!
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black: Previously I didn’t have any interest in reading Holly Black’s books but since I’m meeting her, I just felt like it would be really rude not reading at least one of her books and since this one is the most popular, it seemed like the obvious choice to go for.
Vengeful by V.E. Schwab: I really just want to read this because I liked the first one so much and I love Schwab! I can then start buying her other books and hopefully love them as much as I love Shades of Magic and Villains!
A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs: I feel like I’ll forget about this one if I don’t keep reminding myself to read it! I’ve been in a slump this month sadly so I still haven’t gotten to this one yet.
So these are my priority reads for the next few months! What books are you aiming to read in the first half of 2019? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
