Hey guys! A few months ago I listed the six largest books on my TBR so I thought it’d be good to look at the shorter ones and I’m hoping it will give me the kick I need to read them. Realistically, it shouldn’t take me long to read them because some are really short and I know I can easily read them in a day! So without further ado, let’s get into it!
Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs: I bought this when it first came out, started it but then just never finished it! I am a disappointment. I need to read it before I read A Map of Days and since it’s just lots of short stories, I don’t see why I couldn’t read this in a day. I don’t know what to expect as normally this isn’t my kind of thing. I hope it’s good!
Unite Me by Tahereh Mafi: I can’t say I’m surprised this is on here as it’s just two novellas rolled into one. It’s really not that long at all! I’ve only read Destroy Me and I really liked that. I think before I move onto the next one I want to reread Shatter Me, read Unravel Me and then read Fracture Me. I should hurry with these as I think she has written a further novella for this series! I think it’s Shatter Me 4.5? I’m so behind with these books!
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan: Again, I cant say I’m surprised this made it onto the list because this series is so short! I really need to read these books but I’m worried I’ll be too old for them now. I didn’t really enjoy Harry Potter like everyone else and I think that’s because I read them when I was in my late teens! I’m still willing to give these books a chance though.
The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic by Leigh Bardugo: Here we have another book full of tales and beautiful illustrations! I’m not sure why I picked this on up, probably because it looked really pretty. I’ve only read Six of Crows, so I’m not sure if I can read this without having read the other books? It might stay on my TBR for another year, to be honest!
Watching Eddie by Camilla Way: I was surprised to see this on the list! I thought it was quite long, I have no idea why. I really should be to this one soon as I’ve heard nothing but great things about it!
Artemis by Andy Weir: Another one I’m surprised is on the list! I bought this because I really loved The Martian but then I read some very bad reviews for it and barely any good ones, so it’s put me off reading it for the time being. One day I hope I’ll decide to tackle it!
So these are the six shortest books on my TBR! Are there any on this list you’d recommend making a priority? What are some of your shortest books you need to read? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
