Most Anticipated 2019 Releases!

Hey guys! I feel like 2019 is going to be the year for YA books because there’s so many great ones coming out! These are only the ones I’m excited about so far but I’m pretty certain I’ll find some more intriguing ones throughout 2019.

Chains of Gold, The Red Scrolls of Magic & Ghosts of the Shadow Market by Cassandra Clare

Cassie is releasing THREE books this year which is insane and they all sound amazing! I can’t decide which I am most excited for because I love all of the characters so much and I’m so glad we get to see even more of them! I really loved The Infernal Devices so I have high hopes for Chain of Gold! Also all of the covers look so pretty!

Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus: Given how much I liked One Of Us Is Lying, I have high hopes for this one! It’s a YA thriller and I don’t read much of those but maybe I should!

Superman: Dawnbreaker by Matt de la Pena: This is the final book in the DC Icons series. I’ve loved them all so much and even though Superman is my least favourite superhero, I’m still pretty excited for this! I’ve never heard of this author before so I look forward to seeing what his writing is like!

Queenslayer by Sebastien De Castell: This is the fifth book in the Spellslinger series and I don’t need to tell you all again how much I love this series. It’s one of my favourites and every book has been amazing. I can’t believe how fast the author is writing them!

Again, but better by Christine Riccio: I’m not really a contemporary lover and to be honest, this doesn’t sound like one I’d be interested in but I’ve watched all of Christina’s book writing videos, so I feel like I have to read this as like a conclusion to those videos? Does that make sense? Who knows, maybe I will actually enjoy it? I’ve not heard anything bad about it yet from those lucky people who managed to snag an ARC!

Rage by Cora Carmack: I was really surprised by how much I loved Roar. It had an intriguing plot and some great characters. The sequel finally comes out this year, two years after Roar was published! It’s been a long wait for some but hopefully it will be worth it. I’m definitely excited for it and that cover is amazing.

Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff: Another book some people have had to wait two years for! I’ve been putting off reading Godsgrave because I know I’ll forget the whole plot. This one comes out in September so I’ll reread Nevernight and then read Godsgrave. I’m kind of annoyed it was pushed so far back. I think it should have been finished sooner and the other books pushed back but oh well. I’m sure it will be amazing and well worth the two year wait.

2019 will be an expensive year for book buying and probably not a good idea for me to do the read three buy one book challenge. Hopefully I can make it work or adjust the challenge slightly! What books are you excited for in 2019? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
