December 2018 TBR!

Hey guys! December is off to a great start for me! I’ve finished two books this month already so now I only need to read five more to hit my target of 70 books which is insane! So that gives me four weeks to read five books. I’m literally racing through them as fast as I can and I hope the week off I have at Christmas will help! I only have three more weeks left in work, yay! Here’s what I want to read this month:

Fall From Grace by Tim Weaver: This is the fifth book in the David Raker series and I have not read this one before so I am excited to be going in blind! It’s the usual: a man goes missing, he practically vanishes into thin air and nine months later he is still missing. The police have nothing so David Raker is called in to investigate and he will most likely uncover some messed up stuff! This is one hell of a book as it’s nearly 600 pages so it’ll keep me occupied for the rest of the week!

Last Breath by Robert Bryndza: This is the fourth book in the Detective Erika Foster series and I am HOOKED! These books are so freaking good! I haven’t gotten this addicted to a crime thriller series in a while. I quickly fell in love with the characters and the plot for each book has been really engrossing so far. Dark Water (book number three) is definitely my favourite but this series seems to go from strength to strength so book four might end up being my new favourite, we’ll see! I thought the second book was good but then I read the third. Damn, this author is good!

What Remains by Tim Weaver: All I’m going to say about this one is that I just read the synopsis and it sounds amazing! It’s the sixth book in the David Raker series and this is another one that goes from strength to strength for me. I love this series so much! I’m hoping to be caught up soon because I’ve been really far behind for too long now.

A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs: Probably by the time I get to this one I’ll be close to finishing work but I hope to get to it before then. I’m so excited to read this and I can’t believe I’ve managed to put it off for so long! Can you believe I met Ransom Riggs nearly a month ago now? It’s actually insane how fast we flew through November! Hopefully A Map of Days is just as good as the first three books!

Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter: If Kate is reading this hopefully she is up buddy reading Pretty Girls this month (I’m still waiting for my copy to arrive though!). It’s getting close to Christmas but lets totally read something full of blood and gore! I wasn’t a fan of The Good Daughter but I am definitely up for giving this one a try!

Bonus: Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare: If by some miracle I manage to read five books ridiculously early, I am definitely going to start this giant masterpiece! From the people who’ve managed to snag a copy early, they say it’s 992 pages long and all I can think is that we are going to die reading this. I am not prepared but at the same time I’m feel so ready! If, however, I don’t manage to read it before the end of 2018, it will definitely be what I spend my New Year doing, guaranteed!

So that’s what I plan on reading December and if all goes well, hopefully I’ll be reading A Queen of Air and Darkness over Christmas! What a ride this trilogy has been and I’m so sad we are saying goodbye to another Shadowhunter family! What books are you planning on reading this month? I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!

I am 100000000% down for a Pretty Girls buddy read, despite the horrible cover haha!

I hope you enjoy Queen of Air and Darkness, I still need to read well any Shadowhunter book so I can get in on the hype!
