September Book Haul!

Hey guys! Today I am bringing you my September book haul! I acquired a lot of books this month but I only bought two of them and was sent the others! They are all screaming Halloween at me and now I’m really excited for October! Here’s what books I got this month:

Strange Ink by Gary Kemble: This is definitely the most intriguing book I’ve gotten this month. Just looking at the cover gives me chills! It’s about a journalist who wakes up one morning and has a strange symbol tattooed on his neck and soon more appear that are accompanied by horrific nightmares. As he digs deeper he gets caught in a web of corruption and violence tangled with his own past. One way or another, he has to right the wrongs. Big thanks to Titan Books for sending me a finished copy!

In Her Bones by Kate Moretti: This definitely sounds interesting and I love the angle the author has taken, I thought it was quite refreshing. The story follows the daughter of Lilith Wade, a serial killer who was arrested for murdering six women. After a death row conviction and media frenzy, her daughter Edie is just trying to survive out of the spotlight but she has an obsession with the families of Lilith’s victims. Then one man is found murdered and she becomes the prime suspect. Edie remembers nothing of the night of the murder, and must get to the truth before the police-or the real killer-find her. I’ve read plenty of stories about serial killers but none from the actual daughter or son of the killer, so I thought this sounded really interesting! Thanks Titan Books for sending me a finished copy!

FairyLoot Unboxing: September 2018!

Hey guys! My FairyLoot box actually shipped really early this month and it was delivered on Saturday! I’m so shocked because mine is normally always in the last batch but it was in the first batch this month. So I actually wasn’t spoiled which is great! Honestly, I was really surprised by the book and definitely didn’t think it would be that! There was some pretty good items, it was quite a good box this month!

Bella and Edward Candle (Made by Nerd Poured Candles): First up is the candle and I was really excited to see there was going to be a Twilight themed item this month! The books and the films might be pretty old now but it still deserves some merchandise and this candle is actually quite nice. I think the label is so adorable and I love the glitter. I don’t normally use candles but I think I’ll be lighting this one over the weekend.

Top 5 Wednesday: Favourite Covers

Hey guys! I had no idea how insanely difficult this post would be until I actually sat down and tried to write about my favourite covers. There’s so many! How can I narrow it down to five? It’s so hard! These are not in order because I can’t decide which is my absolute favourite, I can’t do that to all these beautiful covers. 🙂

You can probably already guess what books I’ve chosen because I gush about these covers all the damn time! They are so pretty, I love them! I’d love to know if you agree as well!

kingThe Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

If you read my post where I talked about my August favourites, then you’ll know the main reason I like this cover is the reindeer on the front. I am completely and utterly obsessed with reindeers. I just think they are such beautiful and majestic creatures. I am also a little fascinated by crows, but not much. So this cover combining crows and a reindeer, I freaked out. It just screams my name. I think this is definitely my favourite cover out of the four. I mean all the covers are stunning, especially The Dream Thieves. But the reindeer will always win! Also this book is signed, so maybe that helps it win as well. 😉

All of my unread books! (Nearly 100!)

Hey guys! I am back off holiday now and I had such an amazing time! I’m sorry for not posting but I decided to take a break from my blog and spent the two weeks relaxing! 🙂

Now that I’m back, I decided to count all of my unread books and it is not pretty! I always feel better seeing how many unread books other people have and it makes me feel better because I’m always like at least I’m not that bad! I was wrong. I was living in denial because it’s very bad. I have 98 unread books! 98! Help?! Honestly I have no idea why I let it get so bad and now I feel very overwhelmed, yay! But at least every month I will get to see the number slowly going down and it will motivate me to stop buying other books!

I’m only going to try and buy books now that I really want such as Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare! I’ll try telling myself that all the others can wait until I have a nice number of books on my TBR! Below are my unread books. I hope you can read them OK, I took screenshots on Goodreads. It’s very inconvenient not being on YouTube sometimes.

September TBR!

Hey guys! I am so excited because by the time you’re reading this I’ll be on holiday! I am going on holiday for 2 weeks and I plan on taking 6 books with me. I’ve been wanting to read them for a long time but just never picked them up, so I thought it’d be perfect to fly them across the world with me and read them by the pool!

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

I am taking The Raven Cycle on holiday with me, yay! It’s about time I actually finished this series (I’ve only read the first book) and I think my holiday is the perfect time to do this. This series has been incredibly hyped compared to Maggie’s other books so I think I’ll really like it! It’s got better reviews and everyone says it’s one of their favourites. I did actually like the first book, I’m not sure why I never read the second one. So hopefully I’ll finish this series pretty fast when I’m lazing by the pool!
