FairyLoot Unboxing: June 2018!

Hey guys! I was really looking forward to this book and was really digging the theme. I love masquerades and some of the books they mentioned for this theme got me really excited. I really loved the items in this box, although it was not my favourite but it’s definitely worth the money I paid for it! Everything in this box looked really expensive in my opinion and I think they’ve picked some beautiful items. Here’s what was in the June box:

Masquerade Mask Necklace (Team FairyLoot): First up is this absolutely beautiful masquerade necklace! I was definitely not expecting this item and I was stunned! It’s so pretty and I’ve already been wearing it. The box is really pretty too, I love how it has the FairyLoot logo on, instead of just a plain black box! Sorry, I struggled to get a decent picture of the necklace but hopefully you can still see how nice it is!

Exclusive “Corvere” Candle (Made by Geeky Clean): I’m not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed when I realised that the Nevernight themed item was a freaking candle. I was really hoping for this awesome item and was miffed when I saw the candle. In the candles defence, it does smell nice and it is cute. The scent is strawberry & pepper and it is made by Geeky Clean, she does really nice items so I suppose I can’t be too mad a it. Plus the label is awesome.

Exclusive “Shatter Me” Magnetic Bookmarks (Designed by Taratjah Art): I was so freaking happy when I saw these Shatter Me magnetic bookmarks! I love magnetic bookmarks and haven’t managed to get any character ones yet. I love how they are exclusive to this box!

Exclusive Reading Journal (Designed by FictionTea Designs, featuring quote art by Stella’s Bookish Art): I was thrilled with this item! I think it’s such a great idea and they should definitely included it in another box for sure! I tried to take pictures but they aren’t decent ones, unfortunately. You can kind of see one page where it shows books you’ve read and books you want to buy. Then I also tried to show a picture of some of the art featured throughout. It’s such a beautiful journal and I cannot wait to use this for the last 6 months of 2018!

Exclusive “Destiny” Cushion Cover (Designed by Miss Phi): This is probably the most beautiful and my favourite item in the box! It’s absolutely gorgeous, I think I like it even better than the last cushion cover they included. The design is stunning and the detail! I love it so much. It’s absolutely perfect!

Exclusive “Looking Awesome” Iron-On Patch (Designed by Ink and Wonder): This is very cool and I like the quote, but I’m not sure if I will actually end up using this? I don’t really use these patch things. The design and the detailing is very beautiful though.

Sea Witch Sampler Poster (Bonus item): I thought this was cool that it opens out into a poster of the book cover! To be honest this didn’t really call to me when I first saw it but I might read the sampler and see what I think.

Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart: Finally, the book! According to FairyLoot, it’s a feminist fantasy that has fierce sisters, rebellion and a ball! It’s exclusive to FairyLoot as the standard UK edition is only printed in paperback, so this hardback was printed just for FairyLoot. Also, it isn’t out until the end of July so that’s cool! I wasn’t sure about the cover at first but now I actually really like it. I think it’s very pretty! The story is actually about palaces and thrones, etc. I don’t really like that sort of YA stuff but I’m prepared to give this book ago and it has amazing reviews on Goodreads.

More book pictures: This is what the book looks like under the dust jacket and it’s so pretty! I love how it isn’t just a boring black hardback. The publishers have actually made it super pretty and really put effort into making an exclusive hardback just for FairyLoot, so bonus points to them! I absolutely love what it looks like and now I hope I actually like the story so I can keep the book!

Signed bookplate, postcard and author letter: Okay, how pretty is that character art? Wow! They look so badass and it gives me very high hopes for the book! The author letter is on the other side but didn’t see the point in taking a picture of that. Unfortunately, it’s not on card, only paper which means it’s very flimsy so you have to be careful not or bend or crease it. I will definitely be displaying these gorgeous ladies on my bookshelf because I seriously love this art.

So that is everything that came in the June box! I really liked it and was very pleased with most of the items. It wasn’t my favourite box but one I’m still glad I got. I’ll definitely be reading the book in early July since we got it a whole month early! Hopefully if I like it enough, I’ll post a review of it! Did you guys get the June box? If so, what did you think of it? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
