Predicting five star reads!

Hey guys! I’ve seen this post floating around and it looks like a lot of fun! You basically sort through your unread books and pick out ones that you predict you will give a five star rating. Here are my picks:

Six of Crows1) Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

I’ve had this book for such a long time! Everyone was raving about it, saying how awesome it was so I just picked up a copy. I’ve seen a lot of great reviews for it and it was all over Instagram for quite a while. Also, my mum read this last week when we were on holiday and she absolutely loved it. She read it in no time at all and then was gushing about how good it was afterwards. So for that reason, I am pretty sure this will get five stars from me. When I will actually get around to reading it though, that’s anyone’s guess!

Godsgrave2) Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

This is the sequel to Nevernight and I loved that book so much, I thought it was awesome! It was very nearly five stars but I couldn’t justify it because the start was so damn slow! But that’s understandable because Jay was introducing this new world to us and all the characters. It’s a very fascinating story and he goes into a lot of detail. I have high hopes that the second book will completely blow me away now that we are past all the boring introductory stuff. I have read so many five star reviews and people have been raving about this so much. I think this is going to be such an awesome sequel and I have high hopes for it. I am predicting a five star rating for this book for sure

Shadowblack3) Shadowblack by Sebastien De Castell

This is the sequel to Spellslinger and I loved that book so damn much, I gave it five deserving stars. It completely blew me away, the writing was amazing and I completely fell in love with Kellen who is the main character. There is a crazy plot twist about halfway through the book and it was so jaw-dropping. I am definitely predicting another easy five stars for this and some more insane plot twists! I am so eager to find out what will happen to Kellen now after that cliffhanger. I am actually planning on reading this on the weekend with it being a bank holiday on Monday. So I will let you know shortly if I end up giving it five stars or not!

4) Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor Strange the Dreamer

When I first got this book in a FairyLoot box I wasn’t really that impressed because I had zero interest in reading this. I thought I wouldn’t like it so now imagine my surprise at predicting it to be five stars. I’ve seen lots of people raving about this book and saying it’s one of their favourites. It was amazing, magical and pretty much just begging everyone to read it. So many people saying over and over that you should read it, telling everyone how amazing it is. So now I have pretty high hopes for this and I better not be disappointed! Just with all the vids and reviews I’ve seen, I’m predicting five stars for this now.

Scythe5) Scythe by Neal Shusterman

I found out about this book through BookTube and it sounds AMAZING! It’s about humanity living in paradise with no war, hunger or disease and in order to keep the population under control, they have scythes. Scythes are the only ones who can end life. Forget China’s one child policy, this guy has people parading around as Death! This book sounds so exciting and I have mega high hopes for it. I really hope I don’t end up giving it like three stars now!

So these are my five star predictions! Are there any books that you have predicted giving a five star rating? Were you disappointed by any of your choices? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!

I’m also hoping to give Scythe five stars! It’s THE book my boyfriend suddenly started reading and really wants to finish – which is a “WTF”-moment to say the least since he usually reads until halfway and then dumps the book. :’)

Omg! I bet you were so shocked haha! Least you know the book must be pretty damn good then 😀 I am guilty of doing that but VERY rarely! How can he do that all the time xD

Shocked is an understatement, to be honest. 😛 I have no clue how he does it! It gets on my nerves a LOT. He has a whole stack of half-finished books on his desk and.. they just keep piling up. It’s annoying as hell, haha.
But he finished Scythe yesterday! And even started the sequel so this makes me ridiculously excited for the books. [Although I had to promise him not to read Scythe until he finished Thunderhead because I might steal Thunderhead if I finish Scythe sooner than he finishes the sequel xD]

Omg yeh that would just irritate me xD Hahaha I have ended up doing that 🙈 For some reason I will not be interested in reading a series but as soon as I lend parts of it out, I either start reading it and need the next book back or I want to read it 😂🤦‍♀️
