WWW Wednesday!

Hey guys! I’ve been so busy this week with work that I haven’t really had as much time to dedicate to my blog as I’d have liked. With that being said, I hope you don’t mind me doing a WWW Wednesday post today just because it’s quick and easy to do! I also have an update post coming for you on Friday because there might be a slight change to my blogging schedule next month. I’ll explain why in that post but for now lets get into today’s post!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

To take part, all you have to do is answer the following questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

The Cost of Living by Rachel Ward: This was kindly sent to me by the publisher for review and I’m also taking part in a blog tour for it! I’m in a mad dash to finish it this week because the blog tour takes place when I’m on holiday. I want to have my review written up and scheduled to post so even if I only have a little free time I’m shoving my nose in this book! It’s really good so far but it’s very slow and not a lot is happening. I like the characters and I like that they work in a supermarket. It’s so normal and really relatable, especially if you work in retail.

Welcome to the Slipstream by Natalka Burian: Admittedly, I’m not very far in this book yet but what I have read is quite good. I’m liking it so far and hoping to give it my full attention when I finish The Cost of Living! This was also sent to me for review and it focuses on mental illness which was what drew me to it. I have only read a few books about this but I loved them both so hopefully I love this one too!

Wychwood

Recently finished:

Wychwood by George Mann: I’m taking part in a blog tour for this and I’m so excited! I really liked this book but some parts felt very unrealistic. I loved how gruesome it was – there was a lot of gruesome deaths. It’s revolved around a local myth in the community of the Carrion King. It was very detailed and the world building was superb. Such a shame that some parts of it felt a bit far-fetched. I’ll explain more in my review but for the most part, I did really enjoy it!

What I’ll read next:

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo: I can’t believe this book is finally here! After months of waiting it’s finally in my hands! I’m definitely taking this badass book on holiday with me! I’ll be taking pictures of it everywhere that’s for sure. Ah, I’m so excited to read it!

Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff: Oh my goodness! I am so freaking excited for this! I picked it up today and it looks absolutely beautiful. Everything about this book is so gorgeous, it’s honestly one of my favourite covers. I cannot wait to greedily devour this book. It’s signed too, that killed me!

The last section was me just having a major freak out over these two fabulous books. I honestly can’t believe I finally have copies of them! SIGNED COPIES! I am dead. How can you love a book so much it hurts? I have this probably way too often. What books are you currently reading? Feel free to leave a comment below! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
