Book Series I Need To Finish!

Hey guys! I’m doing a different post for Wednesday rather than my usual Top 5 Wednesday or WWW Wednesday post. I haven’t been interested in any of the recent Top 5 Wednesday posts and I have fallen a little behind on my reading so there’s no point doing a WWW Wednesday post this week. I still wanted to post something though so here we are! I am sharing my unfinished series with you all and I hope you enjoy! I am only doing completed series though because if I did uncompleted ones the list would be never ending!

1) The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

So far I have only read the first book in The Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater. I started the second book and I was really enjoying it but for some reason I put it down and didn’t pick it back up again?? I find myself doing that quite a lot! I just need to find time to sit down and read it solidly for a good few hours. I have heard so many great things about this series so I will be finishing it!

2) Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Now… I don’t know what is going on with this series but I have picked up the second book multiple times now only to put it down and forget about it. I finished Shatter Me and then I read Destroy Me which was from Warner’s perspective. I really enjoyed both of these and I am particularly interested in Warner. He is a fascinating character and I just think he has so much to tell and show you. But for some reason I can’t get myself to read the second book! I really need to since Tahereh announced books four, fix and six. I have always been interested in this series but it’s a series I feel I have to be in the mood for.

3) A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

If you have been following my blog for a while then you will know the struggle I have when it comes to reading A Court of Mist and Fury. I get about two hundred pages in then lose interest in the story and give up on it. Now this really frustrates me because everyone raves about this book. I recently won a copy of A Court of Wings and Ruin in a giveaway which I am extremely happy about! I am very excited for it to come and I’m hoping it will motivate me to finish the second book. I really want to share everyone else’s excitement for this series.

4) Shades of Magic V.E. Schwab

Aren’t these book covers stunning? They are so pretty, especially the last one! I have read the first book and I loved it. Kell was instantly likeable and I found myself being drawn to his character more and more. He is a very fascinating character and easily a new favourite of mine. The story was very action-packed and I am excited to read the second one!

5) The Power of Five by Anthony Horowitz

I am about sixty pages in to the third book and it’s okay but it’s not wowing me or anything. Apparently the third book is really good though so I’m going to keep reading it and hopefully it will draw me in more to the story. At the minute I’m kind of just skimming through it and that’s only the start of the book. I am really determined to finish this series though I do not want to DNF it.

6) Gone series by Michael Grant

I just… I finished Lies and I couldn’t bring myself to read Plague. It’s just not as interesting a series I first thought it would be. The characters all have very strange names and half of them are so annoying I just want to slap them around the face repeatedly. The writing doesn’t compel me to read on or leave me on the edge of my seat. I really do not want to DNF this series though. I’m halfway and I feel like I need to see how it all ends. But the characters. Sometimes they make this book so painful to read. The only characters I like are Sam and Edilio. The rest… ugh. Do not care what happens to them. At all. I’ll let you know if I ever finish this series, anyway!

I think that is all of my unfinished series! I just had a look on my shelf and I couldn’t see anymore. I might do another post on my completed series and hope that it is longer than this one! Are any of this series on your unfinished list? Or have you finished any of these series and what did you think of them? Feel free to leave a comment below! Thank you so much for reading!

Let’s just say that The Raven Cycle, Shades of Magic, Shatter Me and A Court of Thorn and Roses are all on my TBR list. I haven’t even started with the first book in the series. I’m so behind on famous series. 😦 I think that my unfinished series is definitely much longer than my completed series.

If you like Warner then I would recommend you read the rest of the series, Tahereh Mafi recently announced that she is extending the series by three more books. Also I need to finish the Raven Cycle, I’ve only read the first too books but I need to continue them.

I’m going to make it a priority to finish Shatter Me series this year so then I can join in with the excitement for Restore Me 😍 I can’t wait to see the cover! 🙌 I’m trying to finish series I own before I buy any others but it’s so hard 😂

I haven’t decided if I’m going to read Restore Me because I’m fine with it ending ad a trilogy.

      • thebookblizzard says:

That’s what the author said when she decided to write three more books for the series. For me the main conflict is over in the last book and now it’s kind of a new trilogy tacked onto this one, they just share characters. I might read it depending on what people think about it when it comes out.

Oh okay, that’s fair! If you are happy with how it ended I can see why you wouldn’t be interested in more books! You can read new ones 🙂

I do wish that the ending was written better because it seemed like it was cut shot but how everything ended I was satasfied with.

Ooh okay I’m interested to see if I’ll feel the same way 🙂 I’m going to read Unravel Me next month and hopefully Ignite Me same month or month after 🙂
