WWW Wednesday!

Hey guys! Time for another WWW Wednesday post! Honestly I love doing these posts just because they are really quick to do and help me keep updated with books I’m reading!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.

To take part, all you have to do is answer the following questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

Evil Star by Anthony Horowitz: If you want to know why I am randomly reading the second book in a series all of a sudden, I explain in the recently finished part! It was very spontaneous and this series is not on my TBR but since I am flying through them, I doubt it will affect my TBR much! I am nearly 100 pages into this already and it’s enjoyable. I want to unhaul some books and this series is part of that but I want to read it first before I unhaul it.

If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio: I finally started this ARC yesterday! It was sent to me by Titan Books and I was so excited to be given the chance to read it! I read the synopsis and knew immediately that I wanted to read it. Admittedly, I’m not really a fan of Shakespeare but this book sounded really interesting and like the perfect spooky crime thriller. So far I like it which is a good sign!

Recently finished:

Ewan Pendle and the White Wraith by Shaun Hume: This was sent me by the author in exchange for an honest review and I went into this not knowing what to expect but I came out loving it! I didn’t enjoy the start so much but once I got passed the hundred page mark I found myself loving the characters and the story much more. This is only the first book and I am eager to continue with this series! If you enjoyed Harry Potter then I’d definitely recommend giving this book a try! It has a similar setting and a trio of main characters. My full review is coming soon!

Raven’s Gate by Anthony Horowitz: This was such a spontaneous read! I finished Ewan Pendle and the White Wraith, then I was just staring at this series on my bookshelf and randomly reached out and picked the first book up. I read it in one sitting. In just a few hours. Whoops! I think I am definitely too old for this series and I have been thinking about giving it to a charity shop but I wanted to read it first before I did. Considering how fast I read the first book I’m sure I will fly through the rest of them. I did enjoy it but I just felt too old for it and it felt more like a children’s book but I’m curious to see where this series is going! I got the boxset really cheap like £4 I think. I’m so relieved I didn’t buy them separately because they are £7.99 each!

What I’ll read next:

Sherlock Holmes: A Betrayal in Blood by Mark A. Latham: I was supposed to read this sooner but since I got sent an ARC of If We Were Villains and it’s published next month, this book had to take a backseat. But as soon as I finish the ARC I will definitely be picking this up!

Nightrise by Anthony Horowitz: This series only has five books which is fitting seeing as it’s called The Power of Five! Hopefully I can get all five books read by next week and be on my merry way with my TBR.

So that’s what I’m planning on reading over the next week or so! What are you guys planning on reading? I have another review coming on Friday and then another probably Monday, yay! I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading!
