This was a good month for me! I only purchased two books and was sent a digital copy from an author and an ARC from the lovely people at Titan Books! I am actually really proud of myself for only buying two books! They are part of a series so I was so eager to buy them! Can’t wait to read them now. I’m also excited to read the ones I was sent because they sound right up my street!

perfect

1) Perfect by Cecelia Ahern

I have been waiting a freaking year for this book and it FINALLY came out the beginning of April! I absolutely loved the first book Flawed, even though it was a dystopian, it was still pretty interesting and I love the characters. This is the first book I’ve read by Cecelia Ahern and I am definitely interested in checking out her other books because I love her writing. I’m about halfway through Perfect and it seems pretty good! I’m enjoying it and will be posting a review when I finish!

Top 5 Wednesday: Authors You Want to Read More From

Hey guys! This weeks topic is pretty self-explanatory, you talk about authors you want to read more from!

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

1) Becca Fitzpatrick

Becca Fitzpatrick is one of my favourite authors, I adore her books! Hush Hush was one of my favourite series when I was in high school. I was obsessed with fallen angels and Patch was my favourite character. Black Ice was a bit meh, not her best book but still pretty enjoyable. I really loved Dangerous Lies, it was full of mystery and suspense. It was a really intriguing story and I loved the plot twist at the end! I would absolutely love to read more books from her just because I love her writing and the characters she creates. Dangerous Lies came out last year and I haven’t heard her mention any other books she’s working on so I don’t think she will publish another book for a while which is sad.

The Intimidating TBR Tag!

Hey everyone! I know this tag is quite old now but I really want to do it! I have a huge TBR pile I think around 70 books. It was nearly 100 at one point though so I have got it down quite a bit! So this seems like a good tag to help me decide which ones I am most excited to read. So lets get into it!

I’m not sure who created this tag! I looked on YouTube and the original video was deleted! All credit goes to the original creator whoever that is!

A Court of Mist and Fury.jpg1) What book have you been unable to finish?

I have been unable to finish A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I really enjoyed the first book A Court of Thorns and Roses but for some reason I just couldn’t get into A Court of Mist and Fury. I just didn’t enjoy the plot or the writing as much as I did the first one. I am hoping to try and pick it up again before the third book comes out but at the minute I’m just not in the mood for it. I think the size of it intimidates me because it’s just HUGE. It’s putting me off.

His business card describes him as the “Vinyl Detective” and certain people take this more literally than others. Like the mysterious woman who wants to pay him a large sum of money to find a priceless lost recording — on behalf of a wealthy, shadowy and somewhat sinister client.

Given that he’s just about to run out of cat food, this gets our hero’s full attention. So begins a dangerous odyssey in search of the rarest jazz record of them all…

WWW Wednesday!

Hey guys! Hope you all had a lovely Easter! I have decided to do another WWW Wednesday post just to update you all on what I’ve been reading and what I’ll read next!

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. It’s a really quick, easy and fun post to do!

www

To take part, all you have to do is answer the following questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading:

The Vinyl Detective: The Run-Out Groove by Andrew Cartmel: This is the second book in The Vinyl Detective series. I started it a couple days ago and I am really loving it so far! I got into it straight away and found that I was happy to continue with this series! Although I am a little surprised because I thought it would pick up where it left off in the first book but instead it’s moved onto another story! I am still excited to see what happens in this book because the synopsis makes it sound like all kinds of scary stuff happens!

Perfect by Cecelia Ahern: I am so freaking excited for this! It was one of my most anticipated releases this year! It’s the second book in the Flawed duology so I have no idea what will happen in this one but I am excited! I’m really not that far in yet as I’m mainly reading The Vinyl Detective but when I finish it I will be posting a review for it! Yay!

Harry Potter Book Tag!

Hey guys! I was tagged by Jasmine (How Useful It Is) to do the Harry Potter Book Tag! Go check out her blog because she is so lovely and has great content! I haven’t done a book tag in a while and I am super excited to do this one because it looks like it’ll be a lot of fun!

HP

Original creator: Trang and Lashaan (Bookidote)

hp2

A book you found the theme interesting, but you’d like to rewrite it.

the-chemist

I thought the synopsis for The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer sounded really intriguing and it seemed like it would be a really great book. Unfortunately, I didn’t like the characters and the story was all over the place. It didn’t make a lot of sense and I just found it really stupid. It could have been way better.

Top 5 Wednesday: Books That Would Make Good Video Games

Hey guys! It’s been nearly a month since I did my last Top 5 Wednesday post but I haven’t really been interested in the past few topics! This one, however, seemed like quite an interesting one so I couldn’t resist taking part!

This group was created by Lainey (Gingerreadslainey) and is hosted by Sam (ThoughtsOnTomes). If you want to participate, check out the link on Goodreads here.

I really love video games and even though it says not all video games are action games, the books I will be choosing will have a lot of action in them if they were ever made into games! I absolutely love action games, they are the best kind! I love horror games too but I prefer watching other people play them because I’m too scared to play them myself. I’m so weak. Anyway, lets get into it!

tmr1) The Maze Runner by James Dashner

Okay, could you imagine if this was ever made into a game? It would be fantastic! I think it would make for an excellent horror game, especially in The Scorch Trials! They could include creepy music and then it could get really intense when all the cranks come and start chasing them. My God, that would be scary! It’s already getting my blood pumping just thinking about it! They could have some kickass action scenes when they are trying to escape the maze and wicked, etc. I’d love to see what the Griever would look like, I bet they would make it so scary looking. Ahh, this would make such an awesome game!
